BCCISA Holds Its First Board Meeting on October 18, Led by Mohammed Maraj Miah

The Bangladesh Chamber of Commerce and Industry in South Africa (BCCISA) held its first official board meeting on October 18, marking an important milestone in establishing the organization’s foundation and future direction.

The meeting was led by Mohammed Maraj Miah, who played a key role in organizing and guiding the discussions. Several other founding and board members were present at the session, where they set up the association’s operational rules, structure, and policies, laying the groundwork for a strong and transparent organization.

A major highlight of the meeting was the preparation and drafting of the official constitution, which will serve as the guiding framework for BCCISA’s mission and activities in South Africa.

All attending members actively contributed to shaping the chamber’s objectives — focusing on promoting trade, investment, and collaboration between Bangladeshi and South African businesses. The meeting concluded with a shared commitment to strengthen the economic and cultural ties between the two nations through cooperative initiatives and community engagement.

BCCISA aims to empower business owners, entrepreneurs, and professionals of Bangladeshi origin in South Africa while fostering partnerships that contribute to mutual growth and prosperity.
